AMRITSAR/NEW DELHI: The Pakistan government will allow Indian Sikhs to visit Gurdwara Darbar Sahib, Kartarpur Sahib through the proposed Kartarpur Corridor in 15-member groups and will not issue permits to more than 500 pilgrims per day. The draft of the proposals mentions that each pilgrim will also have to carry his passport and security clearance certificate from the Indian government in English.

While the authenticity of the said draft cannot be independently corroborated, a PTI report cited Express News TV quoting Pakistani diplomatic officials as saying that Islamabad has prepared and is likely to share a 59-page document with 14 key recommendations to New Delhi.

“For us to consider a proposal, Pakistan has to present it officially before us,” said a source here. However, the draft makes it plain that the Pakistan government will not issue permits to more than 500 pilgrims per day and the corridor will remain open from 8 am to 5 pm daily.
