“If the youth of the country is united and works together for the agenda of development, no gathbandhan or mahagathbandhan can come in the way of BJP and its agenda of ‘sabka sath sabka vikas,” Shah said at the closing ceremony of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha‘s national workshop – ‘Vijay Lakshya 2019’ – at the Syama Prasad Mookerjee Civic Centre here.
Shah said support of the country’s youth to Modi would be key to BJP’s return in 2019 as he asked the party’s youth wing to connect with young voters with the NDA government’s development agenda.
“Development is the message of BJP and young party activists will convey this to each and every Indian,” Shah said, adding that the army of 12 crore members of BJP would play a crucial role in 2019.
Shah’s insistence on youth wing’s support to counter the opposition bid for a grand alliance in 2019 indicates that BJP’s focus will be on how to tackle the opposition bloc.
“We are the largest party in the world. PM Modi has consistently followed the agenda of development. People of the country will certainly vote for BJP and Modi will be PM again,” Shah said.
Under the leadership of BJYM president Poonam Mahajan, the workshop was attended by all office-bearers of the outfit, state BJYM chiefs and district presidents from all states.
The focus of the workshop was to design a strategy for BJYM workers right up to the mandal level in the run-up to the 2019 elections. Sessions were held on organisational management, dissemination of key schemes and achievements of the government, media and social media among other issues.
Mahajan gave her team the mantra of ‘karyakarta to people’. She assured Shah that 6 crore BJYM karyakartas would ensure that the work done by the Modi government would reach the masses.
She asked the karyakartas to leave no stone unturned in the 2019 polls and ensure BJP’s victory.
