BHOPAL: Facing the charges of practicising ‘soft hindutva’, the Congress has again launched a campaign to please the gods and voters to win all 29 seats in Madhya Pradesh.

Adding surprising element to this, Madhya Pradesh minister of religious trusts and endowments, PC Sharma is visiting temples and religious places to pray for Congress president to become Prime Minister of the country.

“I have visited some temples earlier and went to Pashupatinath temple in Mandsaur today to wish a big victory for the party in MP and to wish for our president Rahul Gandhi become Prime Minister of India. I have also visited Ajmer Dargah today”, Sharma told TOI from Ajmer over phone.

The Congress minister is leaving no stone unturned to bring the party at the Centre under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi. Sharma, a staunch supporter of Congress leader Digvijaya Singh, had earlier visited Ram Raja temple in Orchha, Khajrana Ganesh temple in Indore, Bagulamukhi temple in Nalkheda, Agar- Malwa and Mahakaal temple in Ujjain, praying for Congress’ victory in Lok Sabha oolls.

Before leaving for Ajmer to visit the famus shrine, Sharma also took the holy ‘chadar’ on behalf of chief minister Kamal Nath to offer it to Ajmer Dargah.

“I offered chadar at Dargah today and prayed for party’s victory in elections. I believe that my wish will be fulfilled”, said Sharma.

Congress has won three seats during 2014 Lok Sabha elections battling Modi wave. The party after retaining power in MP aims at all 29 seats in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections.
